gù rén jù jī shǔ, yāo wǒ zhì tián jiā.
故人具鸡黍，邀我至田家。
An old friend prepared a meal of chicken and millet, inviting me to his farmhouse.
lǜ shù cūn biān hé, qīng shān guō wài xiá.
绿树村边合，青山郭外斜。
Green trees enclose the village on all sides, and green mountains slant beyond the outer wall.
kāi yán miàn chǎng pǔ, bǎ jiǔ huà sāng má.
开筵面场圃，把酒话桑麻。
We set our feast facing the threshing floor and garden, holding our wine and talking of mulberry and hemp.
dài dào chóng yáng rì, hái lái jiù jú huā.
待到重阳日，还来就菊花。
Wait until the Double Ninth Festival arrives, I will return to enjoy the chrysanthemums.
