Neusoft Institute Guangdong (NIG) is a private higher education institution established in 2002 with the approval of the Ministry of Education and funded by Neusoft. Formerly known as Nanhai Neusoft Institute of Information Technology (a vocational college), the institute was recognized in 2005 by the Ministry of Education as a “National Training Base for Highly Skilled Talent in Short Supply (IT Category)” and in 2016 by the Ministry of Science and Technology as a “National Maker Space.” It was also named one of Guangdong’s first demonstration software colleges in 2004. In 2014, the institute was upgraded to a full-time undergraduate institution and renamed Neusoft Institute Guangdong, beginning its undergraduate programs. In 2018, it passed the evaluation for bachelor's degree authorization for newly established undergraduate colleges.

Located in Foshan, Guangdong Province—a major manufacturing hub and part of the Foshan High-Tech Industrial Development Zone—NIG boasts a modern campus spanning 538,700 square meters, with a total building area of 298,900 square meters. The campus is equipped with advanced facilities, offering a beautiful and functional environment for education.
Programs and Resources
NIG primarily provides full-time undergraduate education and comprises 10 schools, including the School of Computer Science, School of Information Management and Engineering, School of Business Management, School of Digital Media and Design, School of Foreign Languages, and others. Its academic offerings cover four disciplines: engineering, management, arts, and literature. It provides 23 undergraduate programs, 10 "top-up" undergraduate programs, and 11 vocational programs, with a student body exceeding 13,000 and a faculty of over 800. The institute’s teaching and research equipment is valued at 74 million yuan, with a library collection of 1.09 million print books and 1.58 million electronic books.

Over its 22 years of development, NIG has adhered to the principles of socialism in education, fulfilling its mission of character-building and talent cultivation. NIG has received widespread recognition for its graduates, having produced over 30,000 alumni. It has won awards such as a first-class National Undergraduate Course, the Guangdong Provincial Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award (First Prize), and recognition for 23 provincial-level first-class undergraduate courses. The institute also participates actively in industry-academia cooperation, securing projects from the Ministry of Education and other authorities.
Innovation and Entrepreneurship
The institute integrates innovation and entrepreneurship education throughout its curriculum. It has established a complete incubation ecosystem, from innovation courses to practical projects, virtual companies, maker spaces, incubators, and accelerators. Platforms like the Student Venture Center (SOVO) and Neusoft South China IT Innovation Park support this ecosystem, merging professional and entrepreneurial education to cultivate talent.
International Collaboration
Committed to global engagement, NIG actively promotes international collaboration. It was approved in 2015 to enroll international students and remains one of the few private institutions in Guangdong to do so. In 2020, it launched a software engineering program in partnership with the University of the West of England. NIG also collaborates with universities such as Plymouth University, India’s Vellore Institute of Technology, and Canada’s University of Alberta. These partnerships include credit recognition and academic exchange programs.
