Shaanxi University of Technology(陕西理工大学)

Shaanxi University of Technology was numbered among the first cohort of universities permitted to grant bachelor’s degrees. Over its long history it has now acquired 3 campuses with a total area of 1.36 million square metres, with a built-up area of 685 thousand square metres. The university has in excess of 20,000 full-time students studying 65 Bachelor degrees in 16 different colleges.

There are 1202 full-time teaching staff at the university. These have all been assessed according to the ‘Talent Development’ strategy. 969 teachers have a master's degree or above. 295 teachers are Doctors of Philosophy. Of 519 teachers who have been granted high level professional technical status, 155 are professors. We now have 4 academics from the Chinese Academy of Sciences / Social Sciences / Engineering working for the university part time. There are 4 external professors from the Changjiang Scholars Program, 2 selected candidates from ‘Shaanxi Talent Development Programme’ and more than 10 members of the ‘Shaanxi Local Talent Programme’. We have more than 40 teachers who have been issued all kinds of different honours and prizes such as: special allowance from the State Council, National Excellent Teachers, winners of Zeng Xianzi Education Funds, Excellent Teachers Prize of Bao Steel Entrepreneurial Funds, Advanced Workers’ Prize, Shaanxi Province Excellent Teachers’ Prize, Prestigious Teachers’ Prize, Teachers’ Moral Model Prize and The Youth Science Star Honour.
