hóng yè wǎn xiāo xiāo, cháng tíng jiǔ yì piáo. 红叶晚萧萧，长亭酒一瓢。 Red leaves rustle in the evening wind; at the roadside pavilion, I drink a ladle of wine.
cán yún guī tài huà, shū yǔ guò zhōng tiáo. 残云归太华，疏雨过中条。 Remnant clouds return to Mount Taihua; sparse rain passes over the Zhongtiao range.
shù sè suí shān jiǒng, hé shēng rù hǎi yáo. 树色随山迥，河声入海遥。 Tree colors fade with the distant mountains; the river's sound reaches far toward the sea.
dì xiāng míng rì dào, yóu zì mèng yú qiáo. 帝乡明日到，犹自梦渔樵。 Tomorrow I arrive at the Imperial Capital, yet I still dream of the simple life of fishermen and woodcutters.
