Lesson 26 We're Having Exams Soon
大卫：今天你去哪儿了？我打你的手机，可是你没接。
玛丽：不好意思，手机没电了。我去图书馆了，在那儿看了一个上午书。
大卫：你真用功！
玛丽：快考试了，我基础不好，只好努力学习了。有事儿吗？
大卫：快要放假了，我们打算假期去旅行，你想和我们一起去吗？
玛丽：你们打算去哪儿？
大卫：还没决定，可能去东北。
玛丽：大概什么时候出发？
大卫：可能下个周末。
玛丽：好，我考虑考虑。
Dà wèi: Jīntiān nǐ qù nǎr le? Wǒ dǎ nǐ de shǒujī, kěshì nǐ méi jiē.
Mǎlì: Bù hǎoyìsi, shǒujī méi diàn le. Wǒ qù túshūguǎn le, zài nàr kànle yí ge shàngwǔ shū.
Dà wèi: Nǐ zhēn yònggōng!
Mǎlì: Kuài kǎoshìle, wǒ jīchǔ bù hǎo, zhǐhǎo nǔlì xuéxí le. Yǒu shìr ma?
Dà wèi: Kuàiyào fàngjià le, wǒmen dǎsuàn jiàqī qù lǚxíng, nǐ xiǎng hé wǒmen yìqǐ qù ma?
Mǎlì: Nǐmen dǎsuàn qù nǎr?
Dà wèi: Hái méi juédìng, kěnéng qù dōngběi.
Mǎlì: Dàgài shénme shíhou chūfā?
Dà wèi: Kěnéng xià ge zhōumò.
Mǎlì: Hǎo, wǒ kǎolǜ kǎolǜ.
David: Where did you go today? I called your cell phone but you didn't answer.
Mary: Sorry, my cell phone is out of charge. I went to the library. I read all morning long.
David: You're quite the diligent one.
Mary: We're having exams soon, and since my basics aren't that great, the only thing I can do is to study hard. Was there something ( you were calling me about)?
David: We've going on break soon, and we're planning to go traveling (during the vacation period). Would you like to come with us?
Mary: Where do you guys plan to go?
David: We haven't decided yet, perhaps the Northeast of China.
Mary: Around when will you be leaving (for the trip)?
David: Maybe next weekend.
Mary: OK, I'll think about it.
玛丽：中村，你在干什么呢?
中村：给朋友写明信片呢。圣诞节快到了，新年也要来了，得给朋友们寄贺卡了。
玛丽：写了那么多啊！
中村：没办法，亲戚朋友多，我整整写了一个小时呢。
玛丽：现在邮局人很多，你一会儿再去寄吧。
中村：是吗？你怎么知道？
玛丽：我刚才去邮局买邮票，差不多排了半个小时队。
中村：那好，我一会儿再去。
Mǎlì: Zhōngcūn, nǐ zài gànshénme ne?
Zhōngcūn: Gěi péngyou xiě míngxìnpiàn ne. Shèngdàn jié kuài dào le, xīnnián yě yào lái le, děi gěi péngyoumen jì hèkǎ le.
Mǎlì: Xiěle nàme duō a!
Zhōngcūn: Méi bànfǎ, qīnqi péngyou duō, wǒ zhěngzhěng xiěle yí ge xiǎoshí ne.
Mǎlì: Xiànzài yóujú rén hěn duō, nǐ yīhuìr zài qù jì ba.
Zhōngcūn: Shì ma? Nǐ zěnme zhīdào?
Mǎlì: Wǒ gāngcái qù yóujú mǎi yóupiào, chàbuduō pái le bàn ge xiǎoshí duì.
Zhōngcūn: Nà hǎo, wǒ yīhuìr zài qù.
Mary: Zhongcun, what are you doing (now)?
Zhongcun: I'm writing postcards to my friends. Christmas is almost here, and New Year's coming too, so I have to send out greeting cards to my friends.
Mary: You've written that many!
Zhongcun: I can't help it. I've got (too) many relatives and friends. I've been writing fora whole hour!
Mary : There are a lot of people at the post office right now. You should go after a little while to mail them.
Zhongcun: Really? How do you know? Mary: I just now went to the post office to buy some stamps, and I waited in line for almost half an hour.
Zhongcun: Okay then, I'll go a little later.
