shān míng wén yuán chóu, cāng jiāng jí yè liú.
山暝闻猿愁,沧江急夜流。
As the mountains grow dark, the cries of apes bring sorrow; the dark blue river flows swiftly through the night.
fēng míng liǎng àn yè, yuè zhào yī gū zhōu.
风鸣两岸叶,月照一孤舟。
The wind rustles the leaves on both banks; the moon shines upon a single, lonely boat.
jiàn dé fēi wú tǔ, wéi yáng yì jiù yóu.
建德非吾土,维扬忆旧游。
Jiande is not my native land; I fondly recall old friends in Weiyang.
hái jiāng liǎng háng lèi, yáo jì hǎi xī tóu.
还将两行泪,遥寄海西头。
I can only take these two lines of tears and send them far away to the western edge of the sea.
