yuè hēi yàn fēi gāo, chán yú yè dùn táo.

月黑雁飞高，单于夜遁逃。

The moon is dark, the wild geese fly high; the Chanyu flees into the night.

yù jiāng qīng jì zhú, dà xuě mǎn gōng dāo.

欲将轻骑逐，大雪满弓刀。

I plan to lead the light cavalry in pursuit, even as heavy snow covers our bows and swords.
