1.打电话On the phone

A: Wèi, nǐ zài zuò shénme ne?

A：喂，你在做什么呢？

A: Hey, what are you doing?

A: Oye, ¿qué estás haciendo?

B: Wǒ zài kàn shū ne.

B：我在看书呢。

B: I'm reading a book.

B: Estoy leyendo un libro.

A: Dà wèi yě zài kàn shū ma?

A：大卫也在看书吗？

A: Is David also reading a book?

A: ¿David también está leyendo un libro?

B: Tā méi kàn shū, tā zài xué zuò Zhōngguó cài ne.

B：他没看书，他在学做中国菜呢。

B: He's not reading; he's learning how to cook Chinese food.

B: Él no está leyendo; está aprendiendo a cocinar comida china.

2.在咖啡馆儿 In a coffee house

A: Zuótiān shàngwǔ nǐ zài zuò shénme ne?

A：昨天上午你在做什么呢？

A: What were you doing yesterday morning?

A: ¿Qué estabas haciendo ayer por la mañana?

B: Wǒ zài shuìjiào ne. Nǐ ne?

B：我在睡觉呢。你呢？

B: I was sleeping. And you?

B: Estaba durmiendo. ¿Y tú?

A: Wǒ zài jiā kàn diànshì ne. Nǐ xǐhuan kàn diànshì ma?

A：我在家看 电视呢。你喜欢看电视吗？

A: I was watching TV at home. Do you like watching TV?

A: Estaba viendo la televisión en casa. ¿Te gusta ver televisión?

B: Wǒ bù xǐhuan kàn diànshì, wǒ xǐhuan kàn diànyǐng.

B：我不喜欢看电视，我喜欢看电影。

B: I don't like watching TV, I prefer watching movies.

B: No me gusta ver la televisión, prefiero ver películas.

3.在学校办公室 In the school office

A: Bā èr sān líng sì yāo wǔ wǔ，zhè shì Lǐ lǎoshī de diànhuà ma?

A: 82304155，这是李老师的电话吗？

A: 82304155, is this Teacher Li's phone number?

A: 82304155, ¿es este el teléfono de la profesora Li?

B: Bú shì. Tā de diànhuà shì bā èr sān líng sì yāo wǔ liù.

B: 不是。她的电话是82304156。

B: No, her phone number is 82304156.

B: No, su número de teléfono es 82304156.

A: Hǎo, wǒ xiànzài gěi tā dǎ diànhuà.

A：好，我现在给她打电话。

A: Alright, I'll call her now.

A: Bien, ahora le llamo.

B: Tā zài gōngzuò ne, nǐ xiàwǔ dǎ ba.

B：她在工作呢，你下午打吧。

B: She's at work, you should call her in the afternoon.

B: Ella está trabajando, deberías llamarla por la tarde.
