Yajie: Cam, do you still remember what to say when making a call in Chinese? For instance, if you want to talk to Mr. Lee, what would you say?
Cam: Well, I would say “您好。我找李先生。(nin2 hao3.wo3 zhao3 Li3 xian1sheng)” .
Yajie: It’s“您好。我找李先生。(nin2 hao3.wo3 zhao3 Li3 xian1sheng)” .找, originally means to look for. Of course here it means would love to speak to someone.
Cam: That’s much easier, just one word. Zhao3.And you just need to put the person’s name after zhao3.
