Amy arrived in Beijing. This was her first time in Beijing. She came by plane from New York, USA. New York is far from Beijing, and the flight took a long time. On the plane, Amy watched movies, read, ate, and also slept.
Twenty hours later, she arrived in Beijing. She got off the plane, got her luggage, and took a taxi to the hotel. After getting to the hotel, she looked at her cell phone. It was already 9 o'clock in the evening. Beijing and New York have a time difference of 12 hours. In the United States, right now, it was 9 o'clock in the morning, and she was a little hungry.
Amy knew that there was a time difference, and she wanted to get over the jet lag quickly. She didn't go to sleep quite yet and went to find something to eat. Even though it was already 9 o'clock in the evening in Beijing, which was very late, many restaurants were still open. She took the advice of the front desk and went to the "Tian Tian Restaurant" to eat. The Peking duck was very delicious.
Amy thought
Beijing was very convenient. If Amy didn't want to go out to eat, she could order takeout on her cell phone. That way, she could just eat in her hotel room. Amy thought that Beijing was really great. She really liked it here.
After returning to the hotel, she went to bed. The next morning, she woke up at 8 o'clock. After waking up, she felt that she had already gotten over her jet lag.
