chǔ sài sān xiāng jiē, jīng mén jiǔ pài tōng.
楚塞三湘接，荆门九派通。
The frontier of Chu connects with the Three Xiang rivers; through Jingmen, the nine river branches converge.

jiāng liú tiān dì wài, shān sè yǒu wú zhōng.
江流天地外，山色有无中。
The river seems to flow beyond heaven and earth; the mountain colors appear and vanish in the mist.

jùn yì fú qián pǔ, bō lán dòng yuǎn kōng.
郡邑浮前浦，波澜动远空。
Cities and towns seem to float by the riverbank ahead; waves stir the vast distant sky.

xiāng yáng hǎo fēng rì, liú zuì yǔ shān wēng.
襄阳好风日，留醉与山翁。
In Xiangyang, the wind and sunlight are lovely; I would stay and drink myself tipsy with the mountain elder.
