Sitting alone among the quiet bamboo grove, I play the qin and let out long, resonant whistles.
shēn lín rén bù zhī, míng yuè lái xiāng zhào.
深林人不知，明月来相照。
Deep in the forest, no one knows I am here; only the bright moon comes to shine upon me.
