China Jiliang University College of Modern Science and Technology was established in 1999 with the approval of the Zhejiang Provincial Government and the former State Administration for Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine. In 2004, it was officially recognized as an independent college by the Ministry of Education. Designated as a pilot applied undergraduate institution in 2015, the college relocated to Yiwu in 2020. It is a distinct, full-time undergraduate institution with a unique focus.
Location and Campus
The college is located in Yiwu, the "World Capital of Small Commodities" and an International Trade Comprehensive Reform Pilot Zone. It is situated within the Shuangjiang Lake Science and Education Park in Yiwu. The campus, which spans 367 acres in its first phase and covers 194,000 square meters of building area, is characterized by a modern ecological, digital, and garden-like design. The second-phase construction, covering an additional 154 acres, is set to begin in 2024. With approximately 6,300 undergraduates, it is the only undergraduate institution in Yiwu.

Over 25 years of development, it has established a strong reputation for quality and innovation in education.

The college comprises nine secondary academic units, including the Schools of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Measurement Engineering, Information Engineering, Management, Humanities and Law, Basic Education, Marxism, Continuing Education, and the Digital Intelligence Quality Industry College. It offers 23 undergraduate programs across six disciplines: engineering, management, law, literature, economics, and science.
