Putian University(莆田学院)

Situated in Putian, a city with a well-deserved reputation for breeding famous scholars and rich cultures, also known as the birthplace of Mazu, Putian University upholds the long-established tradition by striving earnestly for her educational achievements.

Putian University is a full-time undergraduate university, which is also the only higher education institution in Putian. Since the establishment, the university has made encouraging progress in building a reasonably laid-out multi-discipline system with its own characteristics where science, engineering, liberal arts, management and education coordinate, with prime objectives to cultivate high-quality applied talents who can meet the demands of developments in the local economy and society and are endowed with high ability of practice, creativity and professional ethnics

The university has improved from the college level to the university level.
