Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts (上海视觉艺术学院)

Shanghai Institute of Visual Art, Fudan University (shorted as SIVA), launched in Sept. 2005, is a new Art & Design institute with independent legal status approved by National Ministry of Education, under Fudan University. In 2013, approved by National Ministry of Education, SIVA was updated to an independent non-governmental higher education and the official name was changed to Shanghai Institute of Visual Art. There are seven schools under the umbrella of SIVA, namely, School of Design, School of Fashion Design, School of New Media Art, School of Fine Art, School of Performing Arts, school of Cultural Creative Industrial Management and school of Basic Education. It is currently running sixteen subjects including 20 plus pathways, with a student population of above3000 infour groups. SIVA is located in the center of SongJiang University town，Shanghai, covering an area of about 67 hectares with a total design floor space of 120,000 square meters. The currently completed buildings include the complex of academic buildings and academic supporting buildings such as Learning Resources Building, Practice and Training Building, Sports Fields, Canteen Building, with a floor space of 90,000 plus square meters .
