We start off with a more common category. With so many working behind a computer these days there are many of us who have an office life.

Here are some of those occupations in Chinese:
accountant – 会计 kuài jì
designer – 设计师 shè jì shī
lawyer – 律师 lǜ shī
receptionist – 招待员 zhāo dài yuán
secretary – 秘书 mì shū
assistant – 助理 zhù lǐ
boss – 老板 lǎo bǎn
manager – 经理 jīng lǐ
general manager – 总经理 zǒng jīng lǐ
 
And here is how you call the different company departments in Chinese:
Administration – 行政部门 xíng zhèng bù mén
R&D department – 研发部门 yán fā bù mén
Finance department – 财务部门 cái wù bù mén
Marketing department – 营销部门 yíng xiāo bù mén
Sales department – 销售部门 xiāo shòu bù mén
Production department – 生产部门 sheng chǎn bù mén
