Lesson 11 Winter in Beijing Is Relatively Cold


玛丽：今天的天气怎么样?
中村：不太好，有风，下午还有雨.
玛丽：冷吗？
中村：不冷，二十度。
玛丽：明天呢？
中村：明天是晴天。

Mǎlì: Jīntiān de tiānqì zěnmeyàng?
Zhōngcūn: Bú tài hǎo, yǒu fēng, xiàwǔ hái yǒu yǔ.
Mǎlì: Lěng ma?
Zhōngcūn: Bù lěng, èrshí dù.
Mǎlì: Míngtiān ne?
Zhōngcūn: Míngtiān shì qíngtiān.

Dà wèi: Lǎoshī, Běijīng qiūtiān de tiānqì zěnmeyàng?
Liú lǎoshī: Běijīng de qiūtiān bù lěng bú rè, hěn shūfu, shì zuì hǎo de jìjié.
Dà wèi: Dōngtiān ne? Tīng shuō běijīng de dōngtiān hěn lěng, shì ma?
Liú lǎoshī: Duì, Běijīng de dōngtiān bǐjiào lěng, zuì lěng chàbuduō língxià shíwǔ dù.
Dà wèi: Chángcháng xià xuě ma?
Liú lǎoshī: Bù cháng xià xuě. Dàwèi, nǐ zuì xǐhuan nǎge jìjié?
Dà wèi: Wǒ xǐhuan xiàtiān, wǒ xǐhuān yóuyǒng. Lǎoshī, nín ne?
Liú lǎoshī: Wǒ xǐhuan chūntiān.
Mary: What's the weather like today?
Zhongcun: Not too good. It's windy and it's supposed to rain in the afternoon.
Mary: Is it cold?
Zhongcun : Not cold, it's twenty degrees.
Mary: What about tomorrow?
Zhongcun: Tomorrow's going to be sunny.

大卫：老师，北京秋天的天气怎么样？
刘老师：北京的秋天不冷不热，很舒服， 是最好的季节。
大卫：冬天呢？听说北京的冬天很冷， 是吗？
刘老师：对，北京的冬天比较冷，最冷差不多零下十五度。
大卫：常常下雪吗？
刘老师：不常下雪。大卫，你最喜欢哪个季节？
大卫：我喜欢夏天，我喜欢游泳。老师，您呢？
刘老师：我喜欢春天。

David: Teacher, what's the fall weather like in Beijing?
Teacher Liu: It's neither hot nor cold. It's very comfortable. It's the best s.son.
David: What about winter? I heard that the winter in Beijing is very cold. Is that true?
Teacher Liu: Yes, the winter in Beijing is relatively cold, the coldest reaching around fifteen degrees below zero.
David: Does it snow often?
Teacher Liu: No, it doesn't snow often. David, what season do you like best?
David: I like summer. I like swimming. And you, Teacher?
Teacher Liu: I like spring.
