李军：大卫，好久不见，最近忙什么呢？
Lǐ Jūn: Dàwèi, hǎo jiǔ bú jiàn, zuìjìn máng shénme ne?
Li Jun: David, long time no see. What have you been busy with recently?

大卫：找房子呢，我想搬到外面去。
Dàwèi: Zhǎo fángzi ne, wǒ xiǎng bān dào wàimiàn qù.
David: I’m looking for a place to live. I want to move off campus.

李军：住在学校里不好吗？你看，学校里有商店、食堂，还有邮局和银行，多方便啊。离教室也很近，每天你可以多睡会儿懒觉，而且房租也比外面的便宜。
Lǐ Jūn: Zhù zài xuéxiào lǐ bù hǎo ma? Nǐ kàn, xuéxiào lǐ yǒu shāngdiàn, shítáng, hái yǒu yóujú hé yínháng, duō fāngbiàn a. Lí jiàoshì yě hěn jìn, měitiān nǐ kěyǐ duō shuì huìr lǎnjiào, érqiě fángzū yě bǐ wàimiàn de piányi.
Li Jun: Isn’t it good to live on campus? Look, there are shops, cafeterias, a post office, and a bank on campus. It’s so convenient. It’s also close to the classrooms, so you can sleep in a little longer every day, and the rent is cheaper than outside.

大卫：可是，学校的宿舍没有厨房，房间里也没有卫生间，生活有些不方便。最主要的是，周围都是留学生，对练习汉语没好处。
Dàwèi: Kěshì, xuéxiào de sùshè méiyǒu chúfáng, fángjiān lǐ yě méiyǒu wèishēngjiān, shēnghuó yǒu xiē bù fāngbiàn. Zuì zhǔyào de shì, zhōuwéi dōu shì liúxuéshēng, duì liànxí Hànyǔ méi hǎochù.
David: But the school dorm doesn’t have a kitchen, and there’s no bathroom in the room either, so daily life is a bit inconvenient. Most importantly, everyone around me is an international student, which isn’t helpful for practicing Chinese.

李军：你说的也是。
Lǐ Jūn: Nǐ shuō de yě shì.
Li Jun: You’re right about that.

大卫：你帮我注意一下儿有没有合适的房子，好不好？
Dàwèi: Nǐ bāng wǒ zhùyì yíxiàr yǒu méiyǒu héshì de fángzi, hǎo bù hǎo?
David: Could you help me keep an eye out for any suitable places?

李军：没问题，我有一个朋友就在中介公司工作。
Lǐ Jūn: Méi wèntí, wǒ yǒu yí ge péngyou jiù zài zhōngjiè gōngsī gōngzuò.
Li Jun: No problem. I have a friend who works at a real estate agency.
