Lesson 12 What Are You Doing

大卫：喂，你好！
玛丽：喂，大卫，是我，玛丽。
大卫：啊，玛丽，你好！
玛丽：大卫，你在干什么呢？
大卫：做作业呢。
玛丽：是吗？你每天都有很多作业吗？
大卫：不是。今天是星期三，从早上八点到中午十二点，我有四节课，明天还有听写，所以作业很多。你呢？在干什么呢？
玛丽：我在酒吧喝咖啡呢。
大卫：哪个酒吧？
玛丽：学校书店对面的那个。
大卫：你自己吗？
玛丽：不，还有我的同屋和她的朋友，他们正在唱歌呢。
大卫：明天你们没有课吗？
玛丽：有，我们十点就回宿舍。


Dà wèi: Wèi, nǐ hǎo!
Mǎlì: Wèi, Dà wèi, shì wǒ, Mǎlì.
Dà wèi: À, Mǎlì, nǐ hǎo!
Mǎlì: Dàwèi, nǐ zài gànshénme ne?
Dà wèi: Zuò zuò yè ne.
Mǎlì: Shì ma? Nǐ měitiān dū yǒu hěnduō zuòyè ma?
Dà wèi: Búshì. Jīntiān shì xīngqísān, cóng zǎoshang bā diǎn dào zhōngwǔ shí'èr diǎn, wǒ yǒu sì jié kè, míngtiān hái yǒu tīngxiě, suǒyǐ zuòyè hěnduō. Nǐ ne? Zài gànshénme ne?
Mǎlì: Wǒ zài jiǔbā hē kāfēi ne.
Dà wèi: Nǎge jiǔbā?
Mǎlì: Xuéxiào shūdiàn duìmiàn de nàgè.
Dà wèi: Nǐ zìjǐ ma?
Mǎlì: Bù, hái yǒu wǒ de tóng wū hé tā de péngyou, tāmen zhèngzài chànggē ne.
Dà wèi: Míngtiān nǐmen méiyǒu kè ma?
Mǎlì: Yǒu, wǒmen shí diǎn jiù huí sùshè.


David: Hello?
Mary: Hey David. It's me, Mary.
David: Oh, Mary! Hi!
Mary: David, what are you doing (now) ?
David: I'm doing my homework.
Mary: Really? Do you have a lot of homework every day?
David: Not really. Today's Wednesday, so I had four classes from eight in the morning till twelve noon. Plus I've got a dictation quiz tomorrow, so (that's why) I have a lot of homework. What about you? What are you doing?
Mary: I'm drinking coffee at a bar.
David: Which bar?
Mary: The one across from the school bookstore.
David: Are you by yourself?
Mary: No, there's also my roommate and her friends. They're singing songs (now) .
David: You guys don't have class tomorrow?
Mary: Yeah, we do. We'll head back to the dorm by 10:00.
