Window dressing

Zhuāngyàngzi, hùnong
【解释】To pretend to be dealing with a problem, rather than actually dealing with it.
【例句】
- When his mom told Tom to clean his room, he just did some window dressing, by hiding all his clothes and toys under his blanket.
