zhōng suì pǒ hǎo dào, wǎn jiā nán shān chuí.
中岁颇好道,晚家南山陲。
In my middle years I grew fond of the Dao; in my later years I settled at the foot of the Southern Mountain.
xìng lái měi dú wǎng, shèng shì kōng zì zhī.
兴来每独往,胜事空自知。
When the mood strikes I often wander alone; these wonderful moments are known only to myself.
xíng dào shuǐ qióng chù, zuò kàn yún qǐ shí.
行到水穷处,坐看云起时。
I walk to the place where the water ends, and sit to watch the time when the clouds rise.
ǒu rán zhí lín sǒu, tán xiào wú huán qī.
偶然值林叟,谈笑无还期。
By chance I meet an old man in the woods; we chat and laugh, with no set time to return.
