The Applied Technology College of Soochow University is located in Zhouzhuang, Kunshan—known as China's No. 1 water town. Situated within the "Yangtze River Delta Regional Integrated Development" zone, it is 20 kilometers away from Soochow University's Dushu Lake Campus. Bordering Shanghai to the east and Suzhou to the west, it is adjacent to the Suzhou Industrial Park, Kunshan Economic and Technological Development Zone, Huaqiao International Service Business Park, and Wujiang High-tech Development Zone. History and Academic Profile
Founded in November 1997, the college was established by Soochow University—one of the first universities included in the national "Project 211" and "Plan 2011," and a "Double First-Class" university co-sponsored by the Ministry of Education and the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government. In 2005, it was restructured into an independent college at the undergraduate level.
