À propos de l'Université

Established in 1952, East China University of Political Science and Law (ECUPL) is among the first higher educational institutions in China that specialises in legal and political science education.

ECUPL is a multi-disciplinary research institution that provides a variety of well-structured disciplines with a focus on law as its core.

Dubbed as "an oriental pearl in legal education", ECUPL's leading disciplines are administrative law, criminal law, civil and commercial law, procedural law, economic law, environmental law and international law.

The university has three campuses in Songjiang, Changning and Putuo districts in Shanghai, and currently has more than 18,000 students and 1,300 faculty members.

It has 19 schools and more than 180 scientific research institutes. Among its high-quality courses, 18 English-taught ones have been included in Shanghai's demonstration courses.

ECUPL promotes international cooperation and has signed 404 agreements with 191 universities and institutions in 46 countries and regions, and nine international and regional organisations, including the World Intellectual Property Organisation, the Asian Law Society, and the European Law Firm Alliance.

In 2012, it was approved to receive international students under the Chinese Government Scholarship, and in 2014, it became one of the six Chinese universities that can receive international students under the Youth of Excellence Scheme of China.

ECUPL offers both degree and non-degree educational programmes for international students who want to study law or Chinese language.
