Huanghe Jiaotong University, approved by the Ministry of Education, is the only application-oriented undergraduate university in Henan Province that specializes in training transportation professionals. The university currently has more than 20,000 students. Since its establishment, the university has adhered to its motto "Cultivate virtue, enlighten wisdom, pursue knowledge, and practice diligently," and focuses on serving the modern, integrated transportation industry. It has trained over 80,000 professionals and provided strong intellectual and talent support for the economic and social development of the region.

Located in Zhengzhou's "quarter-hour economic circle" and overlooking the "Zhengzhou Yellow River Scenic Area," the university is easily accessible, with a direct intercity train ride from Zhengzhou Railway Station to the campus taking just over ten minutes. The university is spread across three campuses, covering an area of more than 2,200 acres, with a total building area of 770,000 square meters. The value of the teaching and research equipment is 176 million yuan. The university employs 1,094 faculty and staff members, of whom 45.93% hold senior professional titles. Additionally, 88.24% of the full-time faculty hold master's or doctoral degrees, and 30.88% are "dual-skilled" faculty (both academic and industry experience). The university has two "Henan Provincial Teaching Masters," six "Henan Provincial Academic and Technical Leaders," and eight "Henan Provincial Civilized Teachers." The university library holds over 1.83 million paper books, and the campus is well-equipped with modern facilities, including high-speed campus internet, air-conditioned student dormitories, and well-maintained teaching and recreational buildings.

The university offers a wide range of academic departments, including the College of Automotive Engineering, College of Traffic Engineering, College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, College of Intelligent Engineering, College of Economics and Management, Marxism College, College of Art and Design, Public Sports Department, Basic Education Department, and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship College. This structure promotes coordinated development across various disciplines, with a primary focus on engineering. The university currently offers 61 undergraduate and associate degree programs, including 3 key provincial disciplines, 3 first-class undergraduate program construction points, and several other provincial-level education projects and reforms. The university has established 217 on-campus experimental and training facilities and 96 off-campus internship bases. The research output includes 4 provincial engineering and technology research centers and 14 municipal engineering technology research centers, ranking among the top in Henan Province's private universities.

Huanghe Jiaotong University has deepened its application-oriented development by aligning its programs with regional and industry needs. The university has established several industry-specific colleges in cooperation with renowned companies such as Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd., and Glodon Co., Ltd., including the Kunpeng Industry College, Kairui Automotive Industry College, Golden Tax Industry College, and others. The university also has a partnership with the China Automotive Engineering Research Institute to jointly build the province’s only National Intelligent Clean Energy Vehicle Quality Testing and Inspection Center, along with several other collaborative centers and research platforms focused on the automotive and transportation sectors.

Innovative Talent Development
The university implements the educational philosophy of "moral education first, capability development as the priority," and emphasizes "specialty-innovation integration" in student development. Students have won awards in various competitions, including the "Internet+" College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the National College Students' Embedded Design Competition, and the China University Student Formula Racing Competition, among others. The university's Marxism College has been recognized as a "Demonstrative Marxism College" in Henan, and the university’s academic forum, the "Yellow River Forum," has earned the "Outstanding Brand for Ideological and Political Work in Provincial Universities" award. The university's volunteer team received the "Henan Province Advanced Group for Pandemic and Flood Control" honor.
