Huaxin College of Hebei Geo University, established in 2001, is a full-time general undergraduate institution approved by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Hebei Province. It is an independent college. Since its founding, the college has adhered to the educational philosophy of offering distinctive applied undergraduate education, focusing on "people-oriented, closely connected to the market, highlighting unique features, and strengthening employment" as its guiding principles. The college is located in the Konggang Industrial Park of Shijiazhuang, near Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport, the airport high-speed railway station, the Shijiazhuang Comprehensive Bonded Zone, and the Jinggangao Expressway. The campus spans an area of 1,350 acres, with a building area of 250,000 square meters. The college adopts European architectural style, offering an elegant campus environment equipped with leading domestic teaching, experimental, training, and living facilities. The campus has complete educational conditions, a well-developed public service system, and provides a good environment for learning and life.
The college focuses on cultivating applied professional talents in response to the three major strategies of coordinated development in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, the Xiong'an New Area, and the Winter Olympics. The college currently offers 32 programs in fields such as Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, Internet of Things Engineering, E-commerce, Data Science and Big Data Technology, Engineering Management, Engineering Cost, Business Administration, Public Administration, Labor and Social Security, Human Resource Management, Logistics Management, Marketing, Information Management and Information Systems, Big Data Management and Applications, Nursing, Midwifery, Finance, International Economics and Trade, Insurance, Internet Finance, Economics and Finance, Accounting, Financial Management, Law, English, Advertising, Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, Resource Exploration Engineering, Civil Engineering, Hydrology, and Water Resources, covering six major disciplines: Engineering, Medicine, Economics, Management, Humanities, and Law, forming a well-coordinated system of educational development.
The college has more than 30 professional field training bases in Hebei Province, including in Xingtai Licheng, Shijiazhuang Huangbizhuang, Qinhuangdao Shimen Zhai, and Jingxing County Zhanghewan. It has signed internship agreements with major hospitals such as the First Affiliated Hospital of Hebei Medical University, Shijiazhuang First Hospital, Shijiazhuang Maternity and Child Hospital, and Shijiazhuang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. The campus has over 100 training centers and specialized laboratories, including an ERP simulation laboratory, geological laboratories, environmental engineering laboratories, oral training rooms, nursing laboratories, life science museum, computer training rooms, IoT training rooms, accounting computerization labs, engineering drawing training rooms, BIM cost training centers, business and management laboratories, and a mock courtroom, further enhancing students' practical application abilities.
The college includes seven academic departments: the College of Economics, the College of Management, the College of Accounting, the College of Electronic Information, the College of Resources and Environment, the College of Humanities and Law, and the College of Health, as well as one public teaching department. The college places a strong emphasis on faculty development, implementing a "talent-driven school" strategy, and has always prioritized building a high-quality teaching staff. The college invites well-known experts and professors from various academic fields to lead programs, guide professional development, and promote the growth of young teachers. Senior faculty members and industry professionals are hired to take on key teaching and research tasks, solidifying the foundation of education. The faculty is well-structured, academically skilled, innovative, and dedicated to their work. In recent years, the college’s faculty has undertaken over 210 research projects at the departmental level or above, with 90 provincial or higher-level research projects; published 498 academic papers, including 144 in national core journals; obtained 38 patents and software copyrights; and published 199 works, including 93 monographs and textbooks. The teaching and research levels have steadily improved.
The college places great importance on students' professional skills and innovation, winning numerous awards in various high-level academic competitions at national and provincial levels. In the past year, the college won 145 awards in subject competitions at the provincial and national levels, with about 320 students receiving awards. Notably, the college won over 30 national awards in competitions such as the Youth "Automation and Artificial Intelligence" Knowledge Promotion Campaign, the National College Students’ Knowledge Competition on the Centennial of the Communist Party, the National Applied Talent Skills Competition, the National Software and Information Technology Talent Competition, the National English Competition for College Students, and many others. The college’s accounting students participated in the "启课程杯" Mainland China Selection of the Accounting and Business Management Case Competition for University Students from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau, where both teams won national first prizes. One of the teams then advanced to the finals in Hong Kong and won the first prize.
The college emphasizes employment and entrepreneurship, continuously enhancing employment and entrepreneurship guidance and services, integrating student career development with professional disciplines, and improving the career counseling system for college students. The college also emphasizes deep integration of industry and education, strengthening cooperation with enterprises, and training high-quality, skilled professionals to meet social needs. The college's innovation and entrepreneurship education is leading in the province, and it is a key member of the Ministry of Education's Industry-University Cooperation Collaborative Education Project and the Hebei Provincial Education Department's Student Entrepreneurship Demonstration Incubation Park. The college organizes students to participate in national and provincial innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, with 728 awards and more than 20 student startup projects incubated. It has published five textbooks on innovation and entrepreneurship education.
The college has a comprehensive reward and financial assistance system, offering national scholarships, national inspirational scholarships, national student grants, and work-study assistance programs. The college values students’ ideological and political education, prioritizing moral education, with a strong focus on quality education. It organizes a variety of campus cultural activities, encourages students to participate in social practice, and strengthens students' moral qualities and professional abilities. In 2012, Tang Jianzhe, an Environmental Engineering major from the 2012 class, was named "2012 Chinese College Student of the Year" and received a warm reception from national leaders. The college’s "Gratitude to Parents" campaign was featured in a special report by China Education News.

The current goal of the college is to become a first-class comprehensive university with a modern educational level, advanced facilities, and distinctive features, in line with the needs of global economic development.
