Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics(兰州财经大学)

Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics (LZUFE) was established in 1952 and started the undergraduate programs in 1958. It is known as the only higher education institution in the field of finance and economics of Gansu Province, Qinghai Province and Ningxia Autonomous Region.

The university was authorized to grant Master's Degree in 2003 and Doctor’s Degree in 2018. LZUFE owns 2 provincial top disciplines, 10 provincial key disciplines, 1 discipline for doctoral program, and 7 for postgraduate program.

LZUFE has 2 campuses (Heping Campus and Duanjiatan Campus), covering over 1,700 mu, with more than 680,000 square meters building area. LZUFE enrolls students from all over China, with nearly 18,000 full time undergraduate students, 1,500 postgraduates , 10 doctoral students,over 50 international students, and more than 3,900 continuing education students .

LZUFE employs over 1,300 faculty and staff members including 1,020 professional teachers, among whom there are 567 professors and associate professors. At present, LZUFE has 5 provincial-level teaching masters, 9 provincial teaching teams, 31 provincial top-quality courses, 58 undergraduate majors among which 3 are national characteristic construction majors, and 16 provincial ones.

LZUFE owns 19 teaching schools, 3 provincial-level key research centers of humanities social sciences, 1 provincial-ranking 2011 Collaborative Innovation Center, 1 provincial-level key laboratory, and 40 university-level research institutions. For the past five years, LZUFE has undertaken 222 national and provincial research projects, obtained 13 national patents, published 899 papers on international or domestic core journals and 132 treatise textbooks, and gained 44 ministerial or provincial research awards.

LZUFE adheres to the local economic, social, and industrial development and takes these demands as its guidance for education and research practice.
