Pass College of Chongqing Technology and Business University(重庆工商大学派斯学院)

Pass College of Chongqing Technology and Business University was founded in 1999. In December 2003, it was confirmed by the Ministry of Education as a full-time undergraduate independent college (Document No. Jiaofahan [2003] 541). It is a general undergraduate higher education institution in finance and economics with the authority to grant bachelor's degrees.

Campus and Disciplines The university is located in the urban area of Hechuan District, Chongqing, a famous historical and cultural city in China. It recruits students from 21 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) across the country, with over 14,000 full-time students. The campus is classically elegant with a pleasant environment and profound historical and cultural heritage.

The university comprises 10 secondary colleges:

It offers 39 undergraduate majors covering four major disciplines: economics, management, engineering, and literature. It has developed into a full-time general undergraduate university relying on economic management, featuring the cross-integration and coordinated development of multiple disciplines including economics, management, literature, and engineering.

Faculty and Academic Research The university currently has over 1,000 faculty and staff members. The teaching faculty is well-structured and possesses strong teaching and research capabilities. Discipline leaders include recipients of special government allowances from the State Council, academic and technical leaders of Chongqing Municipality, and young and middle-aged backbone teachers of Chongqing Municipality, among other high-level talents.

Discipline and major construction is progressing steadily:

• Key Cultivated Discipline: Business Administration (Chongqing).

• First-Class Undergraduate Major Construction Points: Financial Management and Finance (Chongqing).

• Featured Majors: Accounting, Finance, and Business Administration (Chongqing).

• Course Excellence: Eleven courses, including Financial Management, Internet Finance, and Advanced English II, have been approved as Chongqing's first-class courses and first-class foreign language online open courses. Thirteen courses, including Microeconomics, Auditing, Tax Law and Tax Accounting, and Finance, have been approved as demonstration courses for ideological and political education in Chongqing universities.

Research levels have steadily improved with the establishment of 10 research platforms, including the Chongqing Digital Economy Industry Research Base, Hechuan District Internet of Intelligence Research and Development Center, Hechuan District Digital Media and Rural Revitalization Research Base, Hechuan District Smart Accounting Research Center, and the Lu Zuofu Research Base.

Facilities and Practical Training The university boasts comprehensive educational facilities, including a rich collection of library books, electronic database resources, and complete experimental and practical training facilities. It has established three major centers—the Digital and Intelligent Economic Management Experimental Training Center, the Intelligent Engineering Experimental Training Center, and the Modern Cultural Media Experimental Training Center—encompassing 41 secondary experimental training rooms.

A multi-level, multi-module, and cross-disciplinary practical teaching system for cultivating application capabilities has been established, structured as "course training - phased training - professional comprehensive training - cross-disciplinary comprehensive training." Furthermore, the university has established off-campus practical teaching bases with over 200 units, including Pengsheng Accounting Firm, Golden Education Technology Co., Ltd., and Chongqing Zeno Big Data Analysis Co., Ltd.

Party Building and Honors Guided by Party building, the university comprehensively promotes the comprehensive reform of "Three-Wide Education" and actively constructs a "Ten-Aspect Education" system. The First Student Party Branch of the School of Finance was approved as a national Party-building model branch. It is the only private undergraduate institution in Chongqing to be approved for the Chongqing University Ideological and Political Work Quality Improvement Project for three consecutive years.

Teaching Excellence and Student Outcomes Centering on teaching, the university has established and perfected a teaching supervision mechanism. Over the past three years, students have won more than 500 awards at or above the municipal level, including over 80 national awards, in academic competitions such as the Contemporary Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling (CUMCM) and the "Xuechuang Cup" National College Students' Entrepreneurship Comprehensive Simulation Competition.

Since its establishment, the university has provided over 40,000 qualified talents for national economic construction and social development. Many outstanding graduates have been admitted for further study to renowned universities, including the University of Liverpool (UK), RMIT University (Australia), the University of Nottingham (UK), Lingnan University (Hong Kong), Beijing Normal University, Sichuan University, Chongqing University, and Southwest University of Finance and Economics.
