Common mistakes:
(X) 我(很)抱歉你。
(O) 我向(/跟/对)你说(一声)抱歉。

I apologize to you.
(抱歉 is not a verb. Don’t use an object after it.)

抱歉”and“道歉”hold similar meanings in Chinese, yet differ in the part of speech and the grammatical usage.
“抱歉”means “sorry/apologized/apology”, used as an adjective or a noun.
“道歉” means “apologize”, used as a verb with the object followed.
