Hebei Agricultural University (HEBAU), founded in 1902, is one of the oldest highereducation institution that implements Agricultural Education in China, sponsored by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the State Administration of Forestry and Grassland, and Hebei Provincial Government respectively.
Boasting 5 campuses, HEBAU covers 1.84 million square meters in total.
There are 31 colleges in HEBAU with 9 post-doctoral research stations, 11 first-class doctoral degrees, 1 professional doctoral degree, 24 first-class master degrees, 13 professional master degrees, and 96 undergraduate programs of bachelor degrees. The total enrollment is about 34,000 undergraduates, over 5,000 full-time master's and doctoral candidates.
5 disciplines (Agricultural Science, Botany and Zoology, Chemistry, Environmental Science and Ecology, Engineering) have entered top 1% of ESI (Essential Science Indicators).
