Established in 2001, Chuanshan College of the University of South China is an independent full-time undergraduate institution approved by the Hunan Provincial Government and confirmed by the Ministry of Education. Operated under a new mechanism and model, the college is located in Hengyang City, Hunan Province, offering convenient transportation and a beautiful environment.
The college leverages the high-quality educational resources of the University of South China, sharing its first-class faculty, library collections, employment networks, teaching facilities, and academic teams. The college currently employs 236 full-time faculty members, including over 120 professors and associate professors, with 106 holding doctoral degrees. Enrollment is included in the national general higher education plan, making it part of the state-approved admissions system. The college has more than 5,300 enrolled students. It is organized into five departments, one school division, and one center, offering 41 undergraduate programs in seven disciplines: science, engineering, medicine, arts, economics, management, and the arts. These programs reflect the strengths of the University of South China.

Collectively, students have won over 400 national and provincial awards.
