The Fuyin Expressway runs through the city, and the Chang-Jiu Intercity Railway has a station there. It is known as the "Pearl on the shores of Poyang Lake and a famous city on the Beijing-Kowloon Line." It is a vibrant, youthful, innovative, and eco-friendly city and a national base for new industrialization.

Since its founding, the college has relied on the strong educational resources and advantageous disciplines of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics. It has focused on its educational positioning and talent development goals, with the educational philosophy of "students' success as the foundation, quality as the path to building the school." The college has established a "Three-Stage Training, Three-Path Development" talent training model, practicing an educational approach of "Three-Classroom Linkage, Three-Practice Interaction." The goal is to cultivate applied technical talents with qualities of "faith, sensitivity, integrity, and perseverance." The college currently has over 550 faculty members, with about 40% holding titles of associate professor or higher, and 90% holding a master's degree or above. Faculty members have achieved multiple research successes, including National Natural Science Foundation, Social Science Fund projects, and SCI journal publications. The college is equipped with high-end electronic reading rooms, multimedia classrooms, language labs, and high-quality professional laboratories. It also has teaching training bases and school-enterprise cooperation bases in various disciplines.
