Hebei Finance University(河北金融学院)

Hebei Finance University (HFU) was founded by People’s Bank of China(the central bank) in 1952. We are now the sole university characterized by Finance in North and Northwest China. The university is situated at Baoding city, Hebei Province. Since the school was established, HFU has trained more than 60,000 excellent talents with nearly 10,000 alumni holding senior managerial positions in financial industry and hundreds of alumni as leaders in major financial institutions at or above the provincial level. Hence HFU has been honored as ‘the cradle of the financial talents’. 

At present, HFU has more than 16,000 students. In recent years, HFU has  maintained a graduate employment rate at above 95%, which ranked the Top 50 University of Employment Rate in China.

International Cooperation

Opening-up is the trend of the times and internationalization is an important strategy. With the approval by MOE, HFU has collaboratively organized 3 Bachelor degree majors and 2 Diploma programs with foreign universities. The majors include Finance, Accounting, Financial Management, Financial Service and Management, Big Data and Accounting. Over 2,000 students are studying under these programs, which is leading in Hebei province.

At present, HFU has established friendly and cooperative relations with more than 60 colleges, universities and education institutions of the United States, Canada, Britain, Australia, Ireland, Poland, France, Spain, the Netherlands, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and some other countries on ‘One Belt And One Road’. Based on the cooperation mentioned above, HFU offers double degree programs, accelerated degree projects, overseas semester program, etc. Up to now, HFU has sent more than 1100 students to study in foreign universities. 

HFU supports faculties to go abroad for scientific research and further study. We have established 5 overseas research bases for faculties, including Griffith College in Ireland, University of Canberra in Australia, Marietta College in America and Autonomous University of Barcelona in Spain, Jeonju University. Up to now, HFU has sent more than 170 teachers to study in foreign universities and over 110 teachers to pursue PhD degree in Korea and Malaysia. 

In recent years, HFU has been introducing advanced foreign education resources with more than 10 foreign teachers of language and professional faculties employed annually. Since 2008, we held ten "English week" activities, including "foreign teachers into the classroom", "Foreign teacher Lecture Series", "English Corner", "the Evening of English", "American Group Dance", "Teaching Seminars" and other multiple activities. All these activities have broadened the international vision of the students and built a new platform for them to learn and practice their international knowledge.

HFU now has recruited more than 100 international students from South Korea, Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany and Canada. HFU possesses high quality Chinese and specialized courses teaching team and can arrange a variety of activities for international students, including professional practice base tour, local famous cultural landscape tour, Chinese culture experiencing and other exchange activities with Chinese students. In addition, HFU provides the Hebei provincial government scholarship and school scholarship at a higher standard.
