The group of words长远, 长期 and 长久are also confusing to tell apart because all indicate the time is long. 长久implies the time lasts vey long like 长久打算. The time it indicates can be the past, the present and the future. Besides, foreigners who study Mandarin online should know it can function as the adverbial modifier or predicate. Both 长久and 长远are adjectives, but the latter usually means the time in the future and not used as adverbial modifier. For instance, it is wrong to say 他长远地站在那儿，陷入了深深的思考. We should replace 长远 with 长久.

In addition, the word 长期 is a noun to show the long time. Therefore, it is easy to understand and tell it apart with the others. The most frequently used word should be 长期合作.
