有名 (adj/pred) is colloquial and describes any person or thing that is well-known, can be both positive (famous) or negative (notorious).

这家小店的削面很有名,每天都有好多人来吃。

著名 to my knowledge is identical in usage with 有名, but formal/literary in usage. i don't think it can be used in a negative way, since zhu4 is associated with writing/scholarly things of high caliber.

闻名/聞名 (verb/adj) has 新聞的聞,so it's meaning has more to do with being famous as in having a good reputation (btw, 名 has the meaning of name/position/rank). Usage is typically different:

He is famous throughout the world. 他 闻名于世 界 。

知名 (adj) 的知 is about knowledge/awareness, so this one simply has to do with being well-known, but mostly positive connotations.

不知 名 的 小 村 an obscure little village

出名 (verb/adj) is a cool one because it's actually a verb, meaning "to become famous." It can be used as an adjective (where it sometimes overlaps with simply "being famous" or 有名), but also as a VO structure, where they get split:

她妈妈是出了名的好性儿。 Her mother is a well-known good-natured woman.
