如果有一天，你发现母亲的厨房不再像以前那么干净了；如果有一天，你发现母亲做的菜太咸太难吃；如果有一天，你发现父亲看电视看着看着睡着了；如果有一天，你发现父母不再爱吃脆脆的蔬菜水果了；如果有一天，你发现父母喜欢喝稀饭了；如果有一天，你发现他们反应慢了；如果有一天，你发现吃饭的时候他们总是咳嗽……
如果有这么一天，我要告诉你：你的父母真的已经老了，需要别人照顾了。
每个人都会老。父母比我们先老，我们应该照顾他们，关心他们。他们可能会很多事都做不好，如果房间有味儿，可能他们自己也闻不到，请千万不要嫌他们脏或嫌他们臭。他们不再爱洗澡的时候，请一定抽空儿帮他们洗洗身体，因为他们自己可能洗不干净；我们在享受食物的时候，请给他们准备一小碗容易吃的，因为有些东西他们不爱吃可能是因为牙齿咬不动了。
从我们出生开始，父母就在不停地忙碌，教我们生活的基本能力，把人生的经验告诉我们，还让我们读书学习……所以，如果有一天，他们真的动不了了，我们要记住，看父母就是看自己的未来。如果有一天，你像他们一样老时，你希望怎么过？
If one day you find that your mother’s kitchen is no longer as clean as it used to be; if one day you find that the food your mother cooks is too salty and hard to eat; if one day you find that your father falls asleep while watching TV; if one day you find that your parents no longer like eating crunchy vegetables and fruits; if one day you find that your parents like drinking rice porridge; if one day you find that their reactions have become slower; if one day you find that they always cough while eating…
If such a day comes, I want to tell you: your parents have truly grown old, and they need someone to take care of them.
Everyone grows old. Our parents grow old before we do, so we should take care of them and care about them. They may no longer be able to do many things well. If there is an odor in the room, perhaps they themselves can no longer smell it, so please do not dislike them for being dirty or smelly. When they no longer like taking baths, please make time to help them wash, because they may no longer be able to clean themselves properly. When we are enjoying food, please prepare a small bowl of food that is easy for them to eat, because some things they no longer like eating may be things their teeth can no longer bite.
From the moment we were born, our parents have been constantly busy: teaching us the basic skills of life, sharing their life experience with us, and helping us study and learn… So if one day they truly can no longer move, we must remember: looking at our parents is looking at our own future. If one day you become old like them, how would you hope to live?
