rén shì yǒu dài xiè, wǎng lái chéng gǔ jīn.
人事有代谢，往来成古今。
Human affairs have their cycles of change; comings and goings make up the past and present.

jiāng shān liú shèng jì, wǒ bèi fù dēng lín.
江山留胜迹，我辈复登临。
The landscape preserves historical relics; our generation climbs up to view them again.

shuǐ luò yú liáng qiǎn, tiān hán mèng zé shēn.
水落鱼梁浅，天寒梦泽深。
As the water falls, the fish weirs become shallow; in the cold weather, the Yunmeng marsh seems deep.

yáng gōng bēi zì zài, dú bà lèi zhān jīn.
羊公碑字在，读罢泪沾襟。
The words on Lord Yang's stele still remain; after reading them, tears soak my garments.
