qīng chuān dài cháng báo, chē mǎ qù xián xián.
清川带长薄，车马去闲闲。
The clear stream flows past long thickets; my carriage and horses wander leisurely along.
liú shuǐ rú yǒu yì, mù qín xiāng yǔ huán.
流水如有意，暮禽相与还。
The flowing water seems to have its own feelings; the evening birds fly back together in companionship.
huāng chéng lín gǔ dù, luò rì mǎn qiū shān.
荒城临古渡，落日满秋山。
A desolate city overlooks the ancient ferry crossing; the setting sun floods the autumn mountains with light.
tiáo dì sōng gāo xià, guī lái qiě bì guān.
迢递嵩高下，归来且闭关。
From far away I’ve come to the foot of majestic Mount Song; returning here, I shall simply close my gates and seek seclusion.
