jī yǔ kōng lín yān huǒ chí, zhēng lí chuī shǔ xiǎng dōng zī.
积雨空林烟火迟，蒸藜炊黍饷东菑。
After long rains, smoke from cooking rises slowly through the quiet forest; they steam greens and cook millet to bring food to the eastern fields.

mò mò shuǐ tián fēi bái lù, yīn yīn xià mù zhuàn huáng lí.
漠漠水田飞白鹭，阴阴夏木啭黄鹂。
Across the misty rice fields, white egrets fly; among the deep summer trees, yellow orioles sing.

shān zhōng xí jìng guān zhāo jǐn, sōng xià qīng zhāi zhé lù kuí.
山中习静观朝槿，松下清斋折露葵。
In the mountains, I cultivate stillness and watch the morning hibiscus; beneath the pines, I keep a pure vegetarian fast and pick dew-covered mallow.

yě lǎo yǔ rén zhēng xí bà, hǎi ōu hé shì gèng xiāng yí.
野老与人争席罢，海鸥何事更相疑。
This old rustic has long stopped competing with others for a seat; why, then, should the seagulls still doubt me?
