fán huá shì sàn zhú xiāng chén

繁华事散逐香尘，

The splendid affairs of the past have scattered, fading like fragrant dust.

liú shuǐ wú qíng cǎo zì chūn

流水无情草自春。

The flowing water is unfeeling, and the grass turns green for spring all on its own.

rì mù dōng fēng yuàn tí niǎo

日暮东风怨啼鸟，

At sunset, the east wind carries the resentful cries of birds.

luò huā yóu sì zhuì lóu rén

落花犹似坠楼人。

The falling flowers still resemble the one who fell from the high tower.
