À propos de l'Université

Hebei University of Architecture was founded in 1950. In 1978, it became one of the first universities approved by the State Council to confer bachelor’s degrees. In 2013, it was authorized to confer master's degrees. The university is a civilized unit of Hebei Province and is part of the “Belt and Road” Architecture University International Alliance and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei University Collaborative Innovation Alliance for Architectural Technology.

Located in Zhangjiakou, a city known for hosting the Winter Olympics, the university covers an area of 810 acres with a building area of 280,000 square meters. It currently has 818 staff members, including 102 senior professors, 241 associate professors, 67 Ph.D. holders, and 617 Master’s degree holders. The university has 14,757 full-time students, including 840 graduate students and 13,917 undergraduates. It has 11 academic schools (departments), including the School of Civil Engineering, School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Electrical Engineering, School of Architecture and Arts, School of Economics and Management, School of Information Engineering, Department of Energy Engineering, Department of Municipal and Environmental Engineering, Department of Mathematics and Physics, Department of Foreign Languages, and Department of Information Management, as well as the Marxism College, Physical Education Teaching Department, and the Continuing Education College.

The university primarily focuses on engineering, with a special emphasis on civil engineering and architecture, while also supporting development in engineering, management, sciences, arts, and humanities. It offers academic master's degrees in Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Computer Science and Technology, along with professional master's degrees in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, and Design. The university offers 46 undergraduate programs, with three programs (Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Building Environment and Energy Engineering) recognized as national first-class undergraduate programs and seven programs (Engineering Management, Water Supply and Drainage Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Information and Computing Science, Mechanical Design and Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering and Automation, and English) recognized as provincial first-class programs. Five programs have passed evaluations by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. It has two provincial-level graduate training bases, three provincial-level education innovation hubs, four provincial-level experimental teaching demonstration centers, one national-level off-campus practice education base for students, one provincial-level entrepreneurship incubation park (innovation space), and one provincial research base for the study of the Socialist Theoretical System with Chinese Characteristics. The university also hosts a provincial academician work station, two provincial-level key laboratories, two provincial-level technology innovation centers, one provincial engineering research center, three provincial-level university technology R&D centers, one engineering training center, and 12 research institutes. In addition, it has 248 school-enterprise collaborative internship bases and 15 research bases. The university library holds 2.0375 million volumes, including 1.2531 million physical books and 784,000 e-books.

The university adheres to the philosophy of quality-based development, talent-driven growth, and distinctive development. It is committed to "rooted in Hebei, oriented toward the whole nation, and serving the regional economy and the construction industry." Upholding the fine tradition of “hard work, simplicity, and diligence,” the university has carved out a distinctive path for its development. After more than 70 years of growth, the university has expanded in scale, optimized its structure, and improved its discipline system, talent cultivation quality, scientific innovation capabilities, social service abilities, faculty quality, campus culture, and infrastructure. Its overall academic level has risen significantly, contributing notably to urban and rural development both nationally and within Hebei Province. The university is widely recognized, especially in the construction industry.

Currently, the university is deeply implementing its 14th Five-Year Plan and is working hard to contribute to national strategies such as the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, as well as the economic development and beautiful environment of Hebei Province. It is striving to build itself into a “domestically renowned, regionally top-tier” institution, aiming to become “Hebei University of Architecture.”
