Jinshan College of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, established in 2006 with approval from the Ministry of Education, is a full-time, independent undergraduate institution. It is located in Fuzhou, a city with a rich history of over 2,200 years, in Fujian Province. The college is situated by the scenic Minjiang and Wulian Rivers, covering an area of 720 acres with a building area of approximately 240,000 square meters. The campus is vibrant and elegant, surrounded by lush greenery, and equipped with comprehensive facilities. The college seamlessly connects with Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, sharing its high-quality educational resources and beautiful campus environment, as well as benefiting from nearly 90 years of rich campus culture accumulated by the university.

The college focuses on nurturing talent and fostering a teaching-centered environment. It has 6 departments and 1 school, offering programs in Economics and Management, Humanities and Social Sciences, Information and Mechanical Engineering, Literature and Arts, Engineering Technology, Agricultural and Food Sciences, and Marxism. These departments cover 29 undergraduate majors across 6 major disciplines: Engineering, Economics, Management, Literature, Art, and Agriculture. The college is home to the first and only Sino-foreign cooperative education program approved by the Ministry of Education for independent colleges in Fujian Province. The college enrolls students from 16 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions in China, with over 10,000 students currently enrolled. Over the past three years, the college has maintained a new student enrollment rate of over 96%, ranking among the top independent colleges in the province. The faculty structure is continually optimized, with 558 full-time and part-time faculty members, of whom 36.56% are associate professors or above, and 84.05% hold Master's or Doctoral degrees. The college has 3 provincial-level outstanding teachers, 2 provincial-level undergraduate teaching teams, and 8 teachers included in the provincial talent funding program. Additionally, 28 faculty members have been selected as provincial-level science and technology special commissioners, and 9 have been recognized as team technology special commissioners at the provincial level.

The college follows the principle of "Promoting education and learning through competition, encouraging teaching, learning, reform, and construction through competition," and focuses on classroom teaching reform and innovative thinking in education. It has won several teaching awards, including a third-place prize in the Third National College Teachers' Teaching Innovation Competition, making it the first private undergraduate institution (including independent colleges) in the province to receive a national-level award. The college also won several prizes in provincial-level teaching competitions, including a first-place prize in the Fujian Provincial Higher Education Young Teachers Teaching Competition.

The college maintains an open approach to education, leveraging its location in the core area of the Maritime Silk Road to enhance its international partnerships. In 2015, the college received approval to launch a Tourism Management undergraduate program in cooperation with Saint Vincent University in Canada (3+1 program), which began enrolling students in 2016. In 2020, the program passed the Ministry of Education’s quality assessment and was approved to continue. This program has since become a key part of the college's talent cultivation. The college has also signed agreements with the University of Cambridge's Lucy Cavendish College and CL Global International Education Company to offer joint summer academic courses, and it maintains close cooperation with institutions like the University of Chester and Macau University of Science and Technology. The college has established good relationships with universities in Taiwan, such as Chung Yuan Christian University, Chinese Culture University, and National Taipei University, conducting faculty exchanges, student exchanges, joint exhibitions, and collaborative courses. Since 2019, 37 students from the college have studied abroad at Saint Vincent University in Canada, and 120 students have participated in exchange programs at Taiwanese universities.

Over the past 18 years, the college’s educational quality and reputation have been widely recognized by students, parents, and the community. Its competitiveness, influence, recognition, and reputation have steadily increased. The college is currently working towards becoming a top-tier applied university with distinctive characteristics and is committed to contributing to the modernization of Fujian and the cultivation of new talent for the nation's strength and the revival of the Chinese nation.
