О Университете

Sichuan Film and Television University (SFTV) is the first private undergraduate institution in Western China primarily dedicated to cultivating talents in film, television, and media. Its predecessor was the Film and Television College of Sichuan Normal University. In 2014, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was officially renamed Sichuan Film and Television University. It is a modern art university with a rich artistic atmosphere and an excellent teaching tradition.

Located in Chengdu, the "Land of Abundance," SFTV operates two campuses: Jinniu and Anren. The campus boasts a beautiful, lush green environment and has been awarded the title of "Garden-style Unit" by both the Sichuan Provincial and Chengdu Municipal governments. Over the past 30 years, it has trained tens of thousands of film and media professionals to meet the educational and social development needs of the Party and the country.

Educational Positioning

SFTV is a local, industry-oriented, applied undergraduate institution based in Sichuan with a national reach. It primarily focuses on undergraduate education while accommodating associate degree education, with plans to opportunistically develop master's degree programs.

Using arts majors as its backbone, the university integrates and coordinates multiple disciplines, including literature, art, engineering, management, and education. With film and media majors as its defining feature, SFTV cultivates high-quality applied talents who meet industry demands. These graduates possess both moral integrity and artistic excellence, solid theoretical foundations, comprehensive skills, and are well-rounded in moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor education. The university is committed to becoming a high-level applied undergraduate institution with distinct characteristics, outstanding advantages in talent cultivation, strong local service capabilities, high industry recognition, and public satisfaction.
