О Университете

Jiyang College of Zhejiang A&F University, located in Zhuji City, Zhejiang Province—an advanced educational city in China and one of the first educationally strong cities in the province—is an independent full-time undergraduate institution approved by the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government. The college was originally established in 2000 as the Tianmu College of Zhejiang Forestry University (the predecessor of Zhejiang A&F University) and later became a collaborative effort between Zhejiang A&F University and the People's Government of Zhuji City in 2011. In September 2013, the college was relocated from Lin'an, Zhejiang, to Zhuji.

Zhuji City is located in the central northern part of Zhejiang Province, bordered by Hangzhou to the north, Shaoxing to the east, and Yiwu to the south. It boasts convenient transportation and significant geographical advantages. The city is well-connected by the Shanghai-Kunming High-Speed Railway and various highways, including the Hangjinqu, Zhuyong, and Shaozhu expressways. Zhuji is also blessed with a rich history and cultural heritage, an environment of lush green hills and waters, a thriving economy, and a stable, harmonious society. It is the birthplace of the "Fengqiao Experience" and is known as an educationally advanced city in the country, making it an ideal location for a university.

The college is situated in the northern educational district of Zhuji City, covering an area of 542.5 acres. The campus is grand and rich in tradition, reflecting both classic cultural values and modern educational ideals. The total building area is 326,000 square meters, with a total investment of 1.56 billion RMB. The campus includes the Jiyang Sports Center (38,000 square meters) with facilities for basketball, swimming, and tennis, capable of hosting international sports events. The library covers 28,000 square meters and can store 1.5 million books. There are multimedia-equipped classrooms with capacity for 16,000 students, and the experimental teaching building spans 19,000 square meters, housing laboratory facilities valued at 88.49 million RMB. The college also has a provincial-level experimental teaching demonstration center for computer science.

The college follows the Ministry of Education's principle of "relying on the mother university, being relatively independent, and managing in accordance with standards," and is governed by a president who is accountable to the board of directors. The college is structured with 12 functional departments, including the Party and Administration Office, the Propaganda Department, and the Academic Affairs Department. It also includes seven academic schools and four teaching support units: the School of Engineering and Technology, the School of Landscape Architecture, the School of Morning Dawn Art and Design, the School of Business, the School of Humanities, the School of Marxism, and the School of Biology and Environmental Sciences. The college offers 33 undergraduate programs across eight academic disciplines: Economics, Law, Literature, Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Management, and Arts. Currently, there are 11,024 full-time undergraduates, 86 graduate students, and 372 continuing education students. The college has one provincial-level key program (Business Administration), three emerging provincial-level programs (Mechanical Design, Manufacture and Automation; Traditional Chinese Medicine; Computer Science), and five first-class provincial-level programs.

The college follows the educational philosophy of "seeking truth and dedication, and serving the world through practical application" and implements a talent cultivation model combining "general education, professional education, and personalized education." It has fully implemented the credit system, allowing students to select courses, timelines, and teachers, and has developed an innovative model for talent cultivation. The college emphasizes practical and entrepreneurial training, offering experimental programs and industry-education integration courses to cultivate high-quality, innovative, and socially responsible talents.

The college places great importance on talent as a core resource and has a strong, professional, and well-educated faculty. There are 772 full- and part-time teachers, with 552 full-time faculty members. The college also boasts a number of renowned experts and talents, including two academicians, three national-level talents, one provincial teaching master, and several other distinguished scholars and experts.
